Let’s talk about The Yeezy WET Tank.
I remember when the Yeezy WET Tank, designed by Mowalola, first hit the airwaves. The marketing was creative, loud, very in your face and very effective.
Never, not once in my life had I ever considered a Yeezy product. But when the WET tank dropped, it piqued my curiosity.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that the tank top only retailed for $20 dollars. I honestly expected the price to be higher. It was Yeezy after all.
I found myself inexplicably drawn to the tank. It’s simplicity spoke to me, as well as its obvious risque and sexual nature.
The tank top, with the letters ‘WET’ written boldly across the chest serves to imitate the look of a wet t-shirt. And without a bra underneath the tank, your nipple will absolutely be on full display.
As a strong supporter of the ‘free the nipple’ movement, I’m glad that the WET tank gives women the opportunity to further free the nipple.
Another though I had concerning this tank was just how cool it was. Think about it. What type of woman is wearing the YEEZY WET tank? A bold woman, a confident, self-assured woman who is not shy about her sexual prowess. The wet tank was made for the cool girls.

Just take a look at the designer herself, standing as a representative for all the cool girls worldwide.
And now, the WET tank has performed marvelously. It is no longer listed on the Yeezy website and is currently being sold on other platforms for double and triple the price.
In all honesty, Kanye has a hit on his hands with this tank. Just like his popular yeezy sneakers backed by Adidas. But unlike his line of shoes, this tank is easier to produce, very marketable, and therefore lucrative.
I missed the initial wave of the WET tank drop, now it’s all sold out. The question I have now is this. Am I really willing to pay up to $90 for a tank top?!…
Give me a minute, I’m still thinking about it.
